Do you think that doing an MBA is worthwhile? It’s the need of the hour which makes us to pursue an MBA is what I hope. It’s pretty clear that an MBA would elevate us to great heights with all comforts and privileges. Is it just to flavor our resume we need to pursue an MBA? Even a Non MBA can equally perform well at management levels, but it’s the qualification which filters them. Of course, no option is left. Just imagine the situation after a period of 10-15 years where one out of three individual pursue an MBA and holds responsible designations at various levels of an organization. May be this is what our country demands. A situation where India “Outsources” to America and Europe!!! A great feel right! With the increasing number of Engineers being produced here in India and an awareness of management among these groups will surely make this dream come true.
A profile of 100% management graduates in India need not direct them ultimately to a software industry. Wide options are available and these graduates, in fact direct themselves effectively to different horizons. Should this trend long last? Saturation is not which we should expect. People must be directed in to their field of interest. An achiever can’t reach his/her potential if he/she is not put in to a place where they deserve to be.
Do you want to pursue an MBA? Let me pick out both pros and cons. Pros as mentioned earlier is getting CTCed very well, our elevations sounds more among our peers and finally our thoughts spans across organizations. But these are not just what an MBA graduate enjoys at the end of a business day. He is responsible for various processes which come under his surveillance. He is prone to face diverse kind of situation (and resources) during his tenure where he will be responsible for taking up the appreciations and liable for tribulations which his subordinates might have taken the ownership. It is here where his smartness and intelligence lies. Is this situation prevalent in all walks of life? “Yes” would be my answer but in a slightly different way.
I am not sure whether I am in synch with your way of thinking. Let me see whether my hope, confidence and dreams coincides perfectly.
